Job Summary
Special Education Teacher needed to deliver IEP-driven instruction for high school mathematics and science in a New Jersey DOE-approved private school serving students with disabilities (ages 3–21). Responsibilities include planning and carrying out the IEP and instructional program, coordinating and implementing the school’s therapeutic approach to discipline, coordinating with staff, maintaining classroom inventories, keeping records, writing reports, and communicating with parents and professionals. The role involves teamwork within the Instructional team and reporting to the school principal. Requires a BA in Special Education or Early Childhood Education and NJ Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification plus Teacher of Science; experience with children with disabilities is required.
