Job Summary
Disinfect, rinse, dust, sweep, mop, graffiti removal, scrub, buff, and wax entire facility (classrooms, restrooms, hallways, gymnasiums, and surrounding areas). Maintain safety by inspecting for hazards, reporting to supervisors, and assisting with events, daily cleaning, and seasonal projects. Operate cleaning equipment and safely handle and mix chemicals. Requires ability to pass a lift test and a fingerprint-based background check; effective English communication is required for interaction with staff and the public; occasional duties include set up/teardown for events and potential coverage of the Head Custodian position.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass District designated post-offer lift test
- Fingerprint-based criminal background check and clearance by Office of Human Resources
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
- Please note: Fingerprints will be required for all employees of Pueblo School District 60 prior to processing
