Job Summary
Coordinate facility incidents, maintenance activities, and scheduled tasks across Datacom's Data Centres in New Zealand and Australia to ensure zero downtime. Monitor critical mechanical, electrical, fire, and security systems while acting as the primary on-shift escalation point for facility issues. Manage major incidents by coordinating with Operations teams, ensuring accurate documentation, and participating in response testing. Supervise maintenance contractors and maintain ACMS system accuracy within a 12-hour rotating shift pattern. This onsite role at the Orbit Data Centre in Auckland requires New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.

- Monitor Data Centre infrastructure control and monitoring tools for warnings and alarms
- Manage facility incidents through to resolution using established procedures, MOPs, and escalation paths
- Act as the primary on-shift escalation point for facility issues and incidents
- Ensure all facility tasks are completed and updated within operational systems during your shift
- Support onsite Operations and Facilities teams during major incidents
- Coordinate and escalate major facility-related incidents
- Ensure major incident documentation remains accurate and up to date
- Participate in incident response testing and scenario planning activities
- Creating incident reports for facility-related events
- Driving consistency in processes, MOPs, and facilities service delivery across all Data Centres
- Monitoring and supervising maintenance contractors to ensure contracted services are delivered to the required standard
- Undertaking ongoing training to develop a thorough understanding of Data Centre operations, risk management, and emergency response procedures
- Maintaining the accuracy of Data Centre ACMS systems and associated documentation
