Conduct 24-hour in-house OB hospitalist coverage in Illinois, managing 5-8 daily patient encounters with 1-4 average deliveries per hospitalist. Provide backup to midwives and family practice, while OB/GYNs handle emergency GYN cases. Utilize Level II NICU resources with onsite pediatricians and telehealth MFM consultations for complex neonatal needs. Operate within the Epic EMR system with an estimated 10 shifts monthly.
