Job Summary
Provide extraordinary shopping experiences and service at checkout. Operate cash register or electronic scanner, access UPC codes, and process cash, checks, debit/credit, or gift cards. Maintain accurate pricing, redeem coupons, and weigh produce when required. Assist with carry-outs, stock checks, inventory preparation, and ensure proper till balance. Follow safety regulations, maintain a clean work area, and deliver friendly, professional service. Education: high school diploma or GED preferred; must be over 21; obtain required permits (TABC Beverage Sellers Permit and Food Handlers Permit where applicable). Full-time schedule (35 hours/week) with availability on Fridays/Saturdays. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Must be over 21 to work per state law
- Valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit; Food Handlers Permit (where required)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Cash handling and basic math skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Bilingual skills are a plus
