Job Summary
Manage account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and review complex AP transactions while ensuring adherence to company policies. Determine root causes for invoice and supplier issues, submit IT tickets, and investigate AP exceptions to identify trends and recommend corrective actions. Assist with month-end close activities, including clearing account discrepancies and variance analysis. Develop and document best practices for reconciliation and AP workflows, and support the AP Manager in refining processes. Backup to the AP Mailbox Coordinator when needed. This role requires experience with large monthly invoicing volumes (5,000+ invoices) and familiarity with Oracle or SAP. The position offers a hybrid schedule in San Rafael with a competitive hourly rate.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- 1-2 years Accounts Payable Experience
- Strong knowledge of core accounting concepts
- Knowledge of control concepts (segregation of duties, verification, security, etc.)
- Ability to exercise good judgement and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving issues, and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in Oracle and/or SAP
- Competent in Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Experience working in large well-established organizations that have large monthly invoicing volume (5,000+ invoices per month)
