2401 Outside Production Truck Driver Forklift Operator-Night Shift

Job Summary
Check tractor and trailer safety before operating units to transport cucumbers and raw materials between production facilities and warehouses. Safely operate forklifts to unload incoming trucks, load outgoing vehicles, and move materials to graders, washers, and tanks. Spot delivery trailers, connect yard dogs, verify trailer numbers, and assist with fueling and paperwork. Clean assigned areas including tank yards and equipment, while weighing raw materials and operating bulk uploaders and hydrocoolers as needed. Work night shift outdoors in varying temperatures, lifting heavy objects and climbing ladders. Requires current Commercial Driver's License, DOT approval, and forklift certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school plus additional training
- Math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Current Commercial Driver's License
- DOT approved
- Certified forklift operator
- Visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
- Must be able to climb truck ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles
- Must be able to stoop, bend body downward and forward
- Must be able to reach extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
- Must be able to stand for sustained periods of time
- Must be able to walk moving about on foot to accomplish tasks
- Must be able to push using upper extremities to press against something
- Must be able to pull using upper extremities to exert force
- Must be able to lift raising objects from a lower to a high position or moving objects horizontally
- Must be able to grasp applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
- Must be able to talk expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
- Must be able to hear perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels
- Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently
- Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force constantly
- Must be able to handle alum, chlorine, anti-foam, vegi-kleen and gasoline required for forklifts
