Job Summary
Provide personal care and maintain physical comfort under supervision of registered nursing staff in a busy acute care unit; perform sitter duties and assist with patient needs. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, or enrollment in a nursing program with completed hours; valid MA CNA license or EMT license (or enrollment) and ongoing clinical hours. Must hold AHA BLS certification on hire. Prior CNA experience (1-2 years preferred) and ability to work 8-hour shifts with rotating weekends/holidays; staff may be floated to other areas as needed. Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain pace in a busy environment are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalency or enrolled in a co-op program with successful completion of HS diploma within 6 months
- Current MA Certified Nurse Assistant License, EMT License, or enrollment in a nursing program with sufficient hours of clinical rotation
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification REQUIRED upon hire
