Job Summary
Conduct inpatient anesthesia procedures for diverse cases including Orthopedic, Vascular, Burns, Cardiothoracic, Neurology, ENT, General/Abdominal, Robotic, and Gynecology. Precept Student Nurse Anesthetists by mentoring and assessing medical students. Utilize medical decision-making skills to develop patient care plans while collaborating with the medical team to ensure safety, quality improvement, and infection prevention. Document patient records in compliance with hospital standards and maintain scheduling flexibility for timely care delivery. Work within a Level 1 trauma center environment with high patient volume, contributing to cost containment efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation of an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program
- Master's Degree or Higher
- Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing
- Currently Certified or Recertified to practice as a Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board
- Current CPR Certification – ACLS, BLS
- Ability to demonstrate clinical competency within the scope of granted privileges
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
