Job Summary
Amada Senior Care is seeking compassionate, experienced in-home caregivers (CNAs and HCAs) for full-time daytime shifts in North Portland. Responsibilities include assisting with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, transferring, toileting, incontinence, feeding) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (shopping, housekeeping, medication management, meal preparation), following each client’s Care Plan, and ensuring safe, high-quality care. Candidates should have caregiver experience (1+ year preferred), the ability to lift or assist patients with proper body mechanics, a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a criminal background check. Strong communication, reliability, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach are essential.
Required Qualifications
- CNA or HCA certification or caregiver experience
- At least one year of caregiver experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass criminal background and fingerprint check
- Ability to lift/move patients with proper body mechanics
- Effective communication with seniors
- Able to meet 8-hour shift requirements (8:30am-4:30pm)
- Bachelor's degree not required
