Job Summary
Distribution Specialist responsibilities include inventory control and order fulfillment for the distribution warehouse, supporting logistic clerks and forklift operators, ensuring policy adherence, picking and consolidating customer orders, resolving inventory discrepancies, conducting cycle counts as needed, packaging orders and generating shipping labels, managing intercompany and international shipments, and maintaining a clean, safe warehouse while meeting deadlines. The role requires proficiency in shipping/receiving, logistics operations, familiarity with international/domestic orders, and strong teamwork and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Forklift certification required
- Minimum of three (3) years of shipping/receiving, distribution, and logistical experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and other computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing, data entry/data analysis)
- Experience with item picking, receiving/replenishment, and shipping domestic/international sales/intercompany orders
- Ability to analyze and comprehend product labeling/shipping documents
- Proficient in all shipping departments
- Experience with packing/shipping label verification and shipment method verification
- Demonstrated ability to build large international/intercompany shipments
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
- Strong attention to detail and time management
