Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), large computer networks, workstations, Internet connections, and peripheral devices. Install and configure computer hardware, network software, operating systems, and applications. Operate control panels to monitor system performance and coordinate network access. Provide network issue resolution services to users. Perform regular network start/stop operations, maintain control records, execute data backups, and conduct disaster recovery activities. Conduct security and quality control tests. Supervise other personnel in the group. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade web server hardware and software. Deploy network traffic and security monitoring software to optimize server performance. Control and monitor email, web browsing, and installed software usage. Respond to web visitor and designer support requests. Requires a college or university degree in computer science, network administration, web technology, or related fields. Salary: $35 - $40/hour.
