Job Summary
Provide small group instruction, tutoring, and homework assistance to reinforce school-day learning and improve student outcomes. Assist with classroom management to maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive environment while supervising students during transitions, meals, and program activities. Collaborate with program staff and teachers to align enrichment activities with identified student needs and academic priorities. Support project-based learning, arts integration, and cultural enrichment to increase engagement and assist with attendance tracking, data collection, and reporting for grant compliance. Build positive relationships with students to support consistent attendance and social-emotional growth. Participate in required training, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development. Work Monday through Friday before-school, after-school, or summer shifts with flexible scheduling options.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
- Demonstrated classroom management skills
- Ability to work effectively with students in grades K–8
- Ability to successfully complete a Level 2 background check
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification
- Reliable transportation
