Job Summary

Implement a clear behavior management system to develop students' character and community while facilitating planned enrichment and recreational activities for groups of 12–18 students. Assist in academic skill development and foster self-esteem through positive interaction, ensuring all work aligns with campus-wide initiatives. Coordinate program design, evaluation, and outreach by attending scheduled meetings with the Site Coordinator and Project Director to organize schedules and implement reporting tools. Work after school for 2–2.5 hours under direct supervision, adhering to IDEA campus rules and procedures. This grant-funded role supports IDEA's mission to ensure 100% college readiness for its 80,000+ students across 143 schools in Texas, Florida, and Ohio.

Required Qualifications

  • Current college enrollment, up to 15 college hours, or professional certification in the subject you will teach
  • Experience working with youth (formal or informal)
  • Experience working in a classroom/school setting (formal or informal)
  • Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment
  • Ability to track data weekly and monthly for reporting
