Job Summary
Deliver high-quality, standards-aligned academic instruction in literacy and mathematics to K–12 students during after-school programming. Implement project-based learning, differentiated strategies, and targeted interventions to support diverse student needs and reinforce school-day learning. Collaborate with site coordinators, school-day teachers, and families to align instruction, monitor progress, and ensure grant fidelity. Maintain a safe, structured classroom environment while engaging families through communication events. Participate in program planning, staff meetings, and professional development to support continuous improvement. Work Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at a school site.
Required Qualifications
- Valid State Teaching Certification required (Elementary or relevant content area)
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience in a school or educational setting
- Demonstrated ability to deliver standards-aligned instruction and differentiate learning for diverse student populations
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a positive, student-centered learning environment
- Ability to successfully complete a Level 2 background check and drug screening
- Candidates must be dependable, organized, and able to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
- Monday through Friday (After-School Programming)
- After-school hours: Approximately 3 hours per day
- Program schedule aligns with the 21st CCLC calendar and school site needs
- After-school hours: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Summer programming hours may vary based on site needs
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred
- CPR and First Aid Certification preferred or willingness to obtain
