Job Summary
Implement a clear behavior management system aligned with campus-wide initiatives while developing students' character and community. Facilitate planned enrichment and recreational activities for groups of 12-18 students, assisting in cognitive capacity development and academic skill building. Foster student self-esteem through positive interactions and establish cooperative relationships with families based on trust and respect. Work directly with the Site Coordinator and Project Director to organize activity schedules, coordinate program design, and implement evaluation tools. Track data weekly and monthly for reporting and attend scheduled meetings to coordinate outreach efforts. Work after school for 2–2.5 hours as part of a grant-funded position focused on college readiness for priority students.
Required Qualifications
- Current college enrollment, up to 15 college hours, or professional certification in the subject you will teach
- Experience working with youth (formal or informal)
- Experience working in a classroom/school setting (formal or informal)
- Must attach an official or unofficial transcript to the application in order to verify GPA and credit hours earned
- Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment
- Ability to track data weekly and monthly for reporting
