Job Summary
Advocate for and support adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by assisting with household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, and teeth brushing. Administer medications, follow Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support Plans, assist with medical appointments, banking, and community outings. Safely evacuate individuals from the home during emergencies while maintaining certifications and adhering to DDS regulations. Work Sun & Mon from 4p-11p as a part-time role offering 14 hours weekly at $17.50-$19.00 per hour. Receive a $500 sign-on bonus and paid training in CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives
- Varied interests and personal connections in the local community
- Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer or school history)
- Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team
- Must be 21+
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- High School Diploma or GED
- Employees must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above
- Employee must be able to speak, read, and write in fluent English
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the program and individuals supported
- Willingness to work holidays
- Willingness to work overnights
- Willingness to work double shifts
