Job Summary
Delivery Driver responsible for delivering a wide variety of items to various addresses on pre-defined routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks, and providing exceptional customer service. Requires 18 years of age, valid drivers license, clean driving record, and successful completion of pre-employment drug test and background check. Physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs, maintaining company vehicles, and following routes and schedules. Willingness to train and learn, work as a team player, and exceed the job description. Location: Abilene, TX. Training provided; safety and professional conduct emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have a clean driving record
- Pre-employment drug test and background check
- Positive and professional attitude
- Clear speaking and attentive listening skills
- Time management skills
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Maintain customer satisfaction
- Maintain a professional demeanor, conduct and appearance
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. of merchandise
- Properly maintain company vehicle(s) and take the necessary steps to report vehicle maintenance issues
- Ensure that company vehicle(s) are kept clean and presentable
- Must be able to move engine blocks, core barrels, and other heavy equipment using moving aids designed to move such items, including hand trucks barrel dollies, hydraulic lifts, etc.
- Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
- Follow routes and time schedule
- Motivated to train and learn
- Team player and must get along with others
- Desire to go above and beyond the job description
- Performs all other tasks as assigned by management
