Job Summary
Analyze business requirements and translate them to technical specifications. Create designs, develop, code, and perform code reviews and testing of applications following SDLC best practices. Design and integration testing of applications, manage release and incident operations, and support daily project work to increase departmental efficiencies. This 4-month co-op role is based in Montreal, offering a fixed-term student position with a 37.5-hour work week. You will work within a dynamic, collaborative team at RBC, engaging with diverse students from across Canada and participating in career-building events.
Required Qualifications
- Working towards a degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related degree, and currently maintaining academic excellence
- Experience developing applications within a UNIX/Linux or Windows based environment
- In-depth programming knowledge of one of the following languages: Java, C#, C/C+, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Must be a self-starter
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities
- Strong MS Office skills
- Experience presenting to stakeholders
