Job Summary
Assist with sourcing and evaluating potential venture funds, expansion stage start-ups, and secondary investment opportunities for Investment Committee consideration. Monitor existing fund and company portfolio progress, preparing quarterly reports for investors, and conduct broad-scale industry research to advise the team. Lead a team of analysts, maintain their workflow, and complete a Capstone project educating the firm on specific sector topics. This Summer Associate role is part of StepStone Venture Capital's global private markets team, which manages over $20 billion across multiple strategies and operates offices in Baltimore, London, La Jolla, and New York. Candidates must work legally in the U.S. without sponsorship, be enrolled in a full-time MBA program graduating in 2027 or 2028, and report to a salary of $100,000.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work legally in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Enrolled in a full-time MBA program
- Graduate in December 2027 or Spring 2028
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old to apply
Desired Qualifications
- 3-5 years working in venture capital, private equity, finance, engineering, start-up operations, consulting or similar industry preferred, but not necessary

- Hard working self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who excels with little direction
