Job Summary
Conduct legal research and analysis on liability, coverage, and procedural issues for active insurance defense matters. Draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery responses under attorney supervision while assisting with case investigations, including review of medical records, accident reports, and witness statements. Attend depositions, mediations, hearings, trials, and site inspections alongside assigned attorneys to gain courtroom exposure. Summarize deposition transcripts and collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and claims adjusters on case strategy. Participate in firm training sessions, mentorship lunches, and practice group meetings. This summer program offers substantive legal work and direct mentorship from experienced litigators handling general liability, premises liability, automobile, trucking, coverage, and workers' compensation cases. Rising 3L candidates with a 3.0 GPA or above are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school
- 3.0 GPA or above
