Job Summary
Conduct daily legal and compliance analysis for over 4,000 public funds and separate accounts, interpreting regulations, coding, and monitoring trades. Review marketing materials, navigate broker-dealer regulations, and address anti-financial crime requirements to ensure adherence to regulatory standards. Engage in ad hoc projects including resolving inquiries, conducting scenario analysis, and participating in AI-based initiatives and technology testing. Develop and present proposals to drive meaningful change within the compliance organization while collaborating across departments. Complete a one-week fundamentals training and participate in cross-divisional education and networking events during the 10-week summer program.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree
- Must be able to begin full time employment from a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028
- Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester (August 2027 – December 2027)
- Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university
- Are business proficient in English

- Have a demonstrated interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, investment finance, and/or legal & compliance
- Possess exceptional analytical skills, including proficiency of MS Excel, attention to detail, and a track record in creative problem-solving
- Work effectively as part of a team, actively contributing ideas, and fostering an inclusive work environment
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and achieving goals
- Have demonstrated curiosity and experience in using new emerging technologies and AI tools in your work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes
