Job Summary
Set up, monitor, and repair machines in the production area to ensure efficient operation. Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance, maintaining records and diagnosing electronic controls. Design or modify equipment, jigs, and tooling, and assist with installing new machines or fabricating components. Order parts, coordinate contractors, and lead projects from start to finish with limited guidance. May operate machines, perform minor welding, conduct chemical recycling, or aid with facility maintenance depending on the division. Maintain a clean, safe work area following established safety standards and participate in production improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in a related position
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems
- Initiative to bring resolution to a problem without being promoted
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Capable of defining appropriate approaches and solutions
- Able to define critical project criteria to ensure project completion
- Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques
- Basic understanding of construction and rigging techniques
- Experience with welding
- Experience with metal saws
- Experience with drill presses
- Experience with mills
- Experience with lathes
- Ability to operate a forklift
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of an associate degree in field related to specific position
- Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division's quality management system in accordance with ISO standards
