Job Summary
Conduct financial analysis, valuations, and industry research while identifying potential buyers or acquisition targets. Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and materials for new business meetings. Host visits of potential buyers at client facilities and support senior bankers in negotiations. Assist during the due diligence and closing process, ensuring active participation in every aspect of an M&A transaction from start-to-finish. Work Monday through Thursday in the Chicago office with an option to work remotely or from the office on Fridays. This role offers high-level exposure to international clients and buyers within our global M&A practice.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in accounting and finance
- Strong business acumen
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Assertive
- Self-motivated
- Desire to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Candidate must be in progress in obtaining an MBA from top-tier program (2028 Graduation)
- Hold an outstanding academic record
- Must be in the United States (implied by visa sponsorship restriction)
- Must be willing to work in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco offices
- Must be available for Monday through Thursday in-office collaboration
- Must be available for Friday remote or in-office work
- Must be willing to travel for client visits and negotiations
- Must be willing to participate in new business meetings
- Must be willing to contribute to internal firm strengthening
- Must be willing to perform financial analysis and valuations
- Must be willing to conduct industry research
- Must be willing to identify and contact potential buyers or acquisition targets
- Must be willing to prepare confidential information memoranda and management presentations
- Must be willing to support senior bankers in negotiations
- Must be willing to assist during the due diligence and closing process
Desired Qualifications
- Prior M&A, capital raising or investment banking experience
