Job Summary
Internship in Actuarial: 2027 Nassau Summer Internship program based in Hartford, CT. Interns perform actuarial tasks of a mathematical nature including pricing, financial reporting or risk management; compile and categorize data for experience analyses; prepare schedules of statistics, financial statements, premiums, reserves, and benefits; document and verify factors used in computations. Program includes exposure to senior management, professional training sessions, and an opportunity to lead a project contributing to Nassau's community initiatives. Compensation: $27/hr with hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a bachelors degree in actuarial, mathematics, or related field
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong PC skills and use of various applications/software
- Team player with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in pursuing a career in insurance
- Analytical, detail-oriented
- Ability to organize work and execute tasks in a logical fashion
