Job Summary
The Royal Children’s Hospital Infectious Diseases Fellow role involves rotating through Antimicrobial Stewardship, Immunocompromised ID, and General ID streams to provide an integrated infectious diseases service in a paediatric quaternary referral centre. Fellows serve as the first point of call for consultations, provide supervised outpatient clinical care, contribute to antimicrobial stewardship rounds, participate in out-of-hours on-call duties, and may advance to a Junior Consultant role depending on seniority. Opportunities exist for advanced paediatric infectious diseases training, with the aim of pursuing a career in paediatric ID or related areas benefiting from ID expertise. Requires MBBS or equivalent, AHPRA registration eligibility, completed RACP exams, and English language requirements for IMGs; includes mandatory immunisation and background checks as part of employment.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent
- AHPRA registration and eligibility for registration in Victoria
- RACP (or equivalent) exams (clinical and written) completed
- All International Medical Graduate applicants will need to meet the AHPRA English Language requirements
