Job Summary
Conduct gas turbine product development activities under mentorship, including test performance, data analysis, and materials research. Analyze design changes for improvements in reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and manufacturability while supporting engine assembly and ensuring design conformance with specifications. Apply classroom education to real-world project assignments focused on turbine product development. This five-day onsite role is available for engineering students with a minimum 2.8 GPA, with relocation assistance provided. Solar Turbines, a Caterpillar subsidiary, manufactures the world's most widely used family of mid-sized industrial gas turbines.
Required Qualifications
- Currently in the process of obtaining a 4 year or advanced degree in Engineering or other relevant degree
- Classified by your school as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior planning to attend graduate school, or currently attending graduate school
- Overall GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale
- This position requires working onsite five days a week
- Relocation is available for this position
- Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position
- Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a drug screen
