Job Summary
Conduct internal audit fieldwork and assist in the implementation, execution, and maintenance of a risk-based audit program, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Create workpapers meeting audit evidence requirements and interact with middle and senior management to ensure an audit-ready environment. Perform research, administrative tasks, and correspondence while gaining exposure to functions in Consumer Bank, Regulatory Compliance, and Wealth Management. Work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks during the summer in Birmingham, AL.
Required Qualifications
- College student
- Interest in developing technical skills and gaining work experience
- Ability to work 40 hours a week for 10 weeks
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Active in leadership posting on campus and/or involved in campus extracurricular activities
- Critical thinking skills
- Intellectually curious
- Microsoft Office skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Team oriented with ability to work independently
- Current undergraduate or graduate college student
- Expected graduation between December 2027 and May/June 2028
- Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree
- Concentration in an applicable field including, but not limited to Accounting, Finance, Risk Management and/or Management Information Systems
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks during the summer in Birmingham, AL
