Job Summary
Zirconium Chemicals Manufacturing Apprenticeship at Manchester site. Apprentice will operate, monitor, and optimise industrial process operations within a chemical manufacturing environment, gain hands-on experience with plant equipment, support production to high quality standards, participate in continuous improvement (5S/Lean), and complete a Level 3 Process Industry Manufacturing Technician apprenticeship over 2–3 years. Role involves following standard operating procedures, recording production data, assisting with equipment maintenance, reporting faults or safety/environmental concerns, and collaborating during shift handovers. Strong emphasis on safety, quality, teamwork, and learning technical skills in a real manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications
- GCSE results at grade 4/C or equivalent including Maths, English & Science
- ideally Level 3 in Maths/Science or Engineering subject
- willing to learn and develop new skills
- commitment to safety and procedures
- reliable, punctual and organised
- good teamwork and communication skills
