Job Summary
Data Engineer Intern focused on web scraping to create pipelines, extract and ingest data with Compliance-approved web crawling tools, develop tools and workflows to improve scrape speed, efficiency, and stability, and test data for accuracy and compliance. You’ll identify and resolve scraping issues, scale scrapes as needed, and partner with Compliance to ensure scraping activities align with firm standards. The summer internship program includes mentorship, peer programming, intern events, leadership sessions, and hands-on access to best-in-class tools to develop technical, writing, and presentation skills.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree (or expected completion in 2026) in computer science, engineering, or other quantitative disciplines
- Experience or demonstrated interest in web scraping
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, etc.)
- Strong experience in Python development
- Interest in working with data, big data problems, and cloud-based technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards
