Job Summary
Man Group’s 2026 Technology Graduate Programme – Platform Engineer is a two-year rotational programme beginning with a 3-month software development bootcamp, exposing graduates to Python Platform, Infrastructure, End-User, Architecture and Operations teams. You will work on scaling internal data centres, building and managing on-premises and cloud infrastructure using technologies such as Python, .NET, Linux, Windows Server, Databases and Storage, and you’ll write software to automate infrastructure and enable self-service tooling for thousands of users. The role involves maintaining reliable systems for petabyte-scale storage and large GPU deployments, optimizing global network interconnects, and collaborating with business stakeholders in a dynamic environment. The programme emphasizes formal training, mentorship from senior leaders, and a pathway to a long-term career at Man Group. Key candidate traits include experience with languages (C#/Java/Python/PowerShell/C++), familiarity with Git and CI/CD, OS administration, cloud technologies, strong time-management, communication, problem-solving, and a proactive, self-starting mindset. Required Qualifications
- Experience with programming/scripting languages: C#/Java/Python/PowerShell/C++
- Experience or recent graduate status in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics/Physics or related discipline
- Understanding of source control and CI/CD workflows with git
- Experience administering operating systems (Linux, Windows, MacOS) and cloud technologies
- Self-organised with ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills
- Self-starter with a desire to learn about the business environment
