Job Summary
As an Internship at QRT, you will join the data teams responsible for designing, building, and managing data solutions that underpin our quantitative research and trading operations. You may work on roles such as Quantitative Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or Data Platform Engineer, collaborating with Traders, Researchers, and Engineers to ensure robust, scalable data infrastructure for both real-time and batch workflows. Projects include sourcing and onboarding new datasets, integrating data into trading systems, building data stores and APIs, monitoring data processes, and delivering production-ready datasets. The program emphasizes mentorship, practical experience, and positioning you for a potential full-time graduate role after successful completion. Candidates are in penultimate or final year of a Bachelor's or Master's program, with strong CS foundations and an interest in high-performance, low-latency environments using Python, and an appetite for fast-paced, data-driven engineering in finance.
Required Qualifications
- Penultimate or final year students completing a Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, parallel programming, and object-oriented programming (OOP)
- Genuine interest in software engineering, infrastructure, or data engineering within a low-latency environment
- Experience working in Python
- Interest to build expertise in high-performance, real-time trading systems
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Drive for rapid autonomy and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance setting
- Rigorous and structured approach to problem-solving
