Job Summary
Develop and integrate embedded tactical missile flight code while executing system-level performance studies to refine capabilities and address obsolescence. Lead agile backlogs and plans, then guide new engineers through efficient program execution. Support missile performance analysis via model development, system optimization, and Monte Carlo assessments with expected system disturbances. This onsite role at RTX's Effectors PG&C Center in Tucson, AZ, focuses on tactical embedded software, firmware, and integrated flight software for current and upcoming missile programs.
Required Qualifications
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Master's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- GNC, Signal Processing, and/or Modeling / Simulation experience
- Course work or other relevant engineering experience in missile system applications
- Experience in Digital and/or modern control systems
- Experience in Dynamics
- Experience in Kalman filter design
- Experience in Signal processing
- Experience in Navigation systems
- Experience in sensors
- Experience in algorithms including GPS/INS systems or other Assured Position, Navigation, and Timing (APNT) systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date
Desired Qualifications
- Specific majors: Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and/or Object-Oriented design
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Class projects, professional internships, or academic research demonstrating the ability to apply technical course work or computer skills
- Effective communication or organization skills
