Job Summary
Graduate EC&I Engineer supporting delivery of water treatment solutions across the UK municipal and industrial sectors. Work alongside experienced EC&I engineers to contribute to low voltage switchgear, motor control centres, control systems, and process instrumentation. Day-to-day duties include assisting in technical procurement of MCCs, cabling, systems integration, and process instrumentation; contributing to engineering documentation (load schedules, instrument schedules, equipment specifications); developing innovative EC&I design solutions; coordinating with sub-contractors and reviewing technical documentation for compliance with standards; participating in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for switchboards, MCCs, and PLC/HMI software; engaging in site-based activities including client meetings, installation supervision, and commissioning assistance; providing technical support for tendering processes (specifications and drawings). Ideal candidates will have a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related discipline, strong analytical and communication skills, proficiency in Google Workspace, and a willingness to travel. The program is a 12-month immersive graduate development with a permanent contract upon completion. The location is Birmingham, UK with hybrid working.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related technical/engineering discipline
- Fluent in English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
