Job Summary
Data Scouts score NFL and college football games using specialized software, review data for accuracy, and prepare statistical analyses for customers. The role includes supporting full-time staff, participating in Scout School to learn scouting factors and reporting practices, and contributing to scouting reports used in client deliverables. Typical duties involve working up to 40 hours weekly with potential overtime, learning and applying database management tools (including SQL), and gaining exposure to the football data industry through hands-on practice and guidance from experienced scouts.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of NFL and NCAA rules
- Ability to identify and differentiate between players
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new software
- High attention to detail
- Football coaching or scouting experience is preferred but not necessary
- Must be able to work nights, weekends & holidays
