Job Summary
Intern/Co-op in Raytheon Effector Analog & Power Design seeking power electronics knowledge to help design robust power systems for telemetry and flight termination products. Responsibilities include design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry (non-isolated and isolated switch-mode, and linear converters), primarily board-mounted power end use; assist in guiding ECAD drafters through layout and routing; operate as an individual contributor within a small team; present work to leadership. Requires pursuing a BS or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM, familiarity with buck/boost topologies, experience with MATLAB/MathCAD/Mathematica, and ability to obtain/maintain a US security clearance. Onsite in Tucson, AZ.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM major
- Design/analysis/test and/or simulation experience with one or more of buck, boost, buck-boost non-isolated converter topologies
- Familiarity with MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or similar tools
- Coursework related to analog electronics design (FETs/BJTs, op-amp, filters, termination, etc.)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance (citizenship required)
