Job Summary
Evaluate, assess, and document injuries; provide pre- and post-training treatments; lead rehab programming and facilitation; and manage training and match day hydration and medical equipment setup. Conduct match day treatments and serve as part of the stretcher crew while present at all home matches. Work under the guidance of the Medical Director, Head, and Assistant Athletic Trainers, observing the team physician when on site. This full immersion internship spans the NWSL season with flexible hours averaging 30-35 weeks, including weekends and late nights, at Starfire Sports Complex and Lumen Field. The role serves toward clinical credit for a CAATE accredited Master of Science program.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in Master of Science program
- Eligible for academic credit
- Pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Athletic Training from CAATE accredited college or university
- Must be able to receive academic credit towards clinical educational requirement
- Affiliation agreement must be executed between University and Seattle Reign FC prior to start
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced work environment
- Professional demeaner, punctual and reliable
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to pitch in to support team tasks
- Ability to work under pressure situations
- CPR/BLS certified
- Complete SafeSport training
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire
- Must be able to facilitate own local travel
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must be able to occasionally lift 20+ pounds
- Must be comfortable standing on feet for multiple hours at a time
