Job Summary
Summer Engineering Internship at Elevate Semiconductor focusing on testing and characterization of semiconductor devices and ICs, lab setup and data analysis, debugging test hardware/software, documenting procedures and findings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and product improvements. Eligible students are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field, are junior class graduating in 2027, and have hands-on electronics, circuit design, and test-methodology experience. The role is onsite in San Diego, CA, paid at $23 per hour, approximately 30–40 hours per week during the summer term, with potential part-time continuation after the school year based on performance and business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
- Must be a current junior graduating in 2027
- Strong interest in semiconductor technology, product engineering, or test development
- Hands-on experience or coursework in electronics, circuit design, and test methodologies
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, or similar instrumentation
- Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, C/C++)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team
- Must be able to work onsite in San Diego, CA for the duration of the internship
