Job Summary
Assist a certificated teacher by supporting instruction in small groups or individual sessions; monitor and report student progress, administer and score tests, prepare lessons, organize classroom materials, and supervise students in labs, lunchroom, and during activities. Engage in teamwork with instructional staff, communicate with parents as needed, maintain attendance and records, and ensure health and safety practices are followed. Requires para-educator assessment and background checks for employment.
Required Qualifications
- must meet highly qualified status, requiring passing the para-educator assessment
- national and state criminal history background checks with related clearance letter
