2026/27 Woodland Jr. High College and Career Counselor

Serve as College and Career Coach for Grades 7-8 to support post-secondary transitions (college, career, or military) and graduation requirements. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining a College and Career Exploration framework, coordinating with business/community partners for career exploration opportunities (company visits, mock interviews, job shadows), collaborating with the Career and College Center, utilizing Naviance to manage post-secondary plans, meeting with students and parents to review success plans, supporting post-secondary advisory lessons, collecting/analyzing data on student experiences and outcomes, attending professional development, and performing additional duties as assigned. Qualifications emphasize customer service, strong communication, proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint/web design, organization, multi-tasking, and an Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience; preferred qualifications include knowledge of junior high career exploration programs and graduation requirements; contract details specify 7.5 hours/day over 210 contract days/year.
