Job Summary
Telepresenter (LPN or degreed Medical Assistant) for the 2026-2027 PCPS-Valley Health Telemed Program at Luray Middle School, with potential to work from other division offices or schools. Responsibilities include facilitating Telemed visits using technology (digital stethoscope, otoscope, examination camera), pre-visit planning and medication reconciliation, presenting visits to distant providers, documenting in the electronic health record, and providing patient education and follow-up planning. Must adhere to Valley Health/PCPS policies, assist with clinical support tasks, ensure HIPAA compliance, and perform duties under supervision of the school nurse and building principal. Requires healthcare licensure in Virginia (LPN) or MA certification, CPR certification, and ability to meet physical demands and travel as needed. This is a one-year, full-time, grant-funded position for the 2026-2027 school year.
Required Qualifications
- Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or eligibility/certification as a Medical Assistant (MA) from the Virginia State Board of Nursing
- Current CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in school-based settings under supervision of school nurse and administrator
- Eligibility to work within state healthcare regulations for telemedicine in Virginia
