Job Summary
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area to support their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills for successful functioning in society while instructing students and managing their behavior. Conduct instruction, attend meetings, and participate in professional development within a virtual environment. Requires a Bachelor's degree, valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements, and at least one year of student teaching or internship experience. Schedule includes 187 days.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct instruction, attend meetings and professional development in a virtual environment
- At least one-year student teaching or approved internship
