Job Summary
Licensed teaching role for a temporary 1st Grade position in Bethel School District for the 2026-2027 year. Responsibilities include delivering engaging K-5 aligned instruction, leveraging data to inform instructional decisions, supporting Social Emotional Learning, maintaining growth mindset, and collaborating with staff. Candidates should demonstrate ability to adapt instruction to diverse student needs, participate in ongoing professional development, and foster culturally proficient practices. Preference given to bilingual/bicultural candidates. Strong emphasis on mentorship, coaching support for new teachers, and a supportive onboarding experience for newly hired staff; fingerprinting and background checks required.
Required Qualifications
- Possess an Oregon Teaching License valid for assignment by start of the school year
- Knowledge of educational programs offered in all schools and of basic educational techniques (as required)
- Minimum qualifications: fingerprinting, background checks, TSPC clearance
- Bilingual candidates and candidates experienced with bilingual students will receive preferential consideration
