2026-27 SY School Social Worker

Conduct comprehensive social work counseling to prevent and resolve personal, emotional, and social problems interfering with students' academic progress. Perform casework interventions for referred students and parents, including home visits, conferences, and referrals to agencies such as the Department of Family and Children Services or Liberty County Sheriff's Office. Investigate attendance problems and file court cases pertaining to school attendance while assisting schools with compulsory attendance law compliance. Serve as a home, school, and community liaison for at-risk families, participating in special education and student support team meetings. Coordinate a comprehensive referral system, gather assessment data, and maintain sufficient casework documentation for school staff and outside agencies.
