Job Summary
Conduct weekly classroom observations, model high leverage instructional practices, assist with lesson planning, and coach mentees on classroom management. Provide resources and individually guide Liberty County new teachers to improve instructional effectiveness and retention. Meet assigned mentees throughout the August 2026–December 2026 term while working up to 15 hours per week at a rate of $45.00 per hour. This initiative preserves the knowledge of retired educators to support student learning.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Professional Georgia Teaching Certificate in assigned area
- The ability to work successfully with other professionals
- Proven organizational skills
- Effective oral and written communication
- Strong people skills
Desired Qualifications
- 10 or more years of experience in reading/language arts
- Extensive training and experience in reading/language arts instruction
