Job Summary
Custodian position responsible for maintaining building cleanliness and basic maintenance across classrooms, offices, gym and common areas. Performs cleaning tasks using approved chemicals, supplies, and equipment, follows safety procedures, maintains custodial tools and equipment in good condition, and collaborates with facility staff and other personnel. Duties include cleaning floors, tile, carpet, windows, walls, and other assigned areas; ensuring regular attendance; and performing tasks as directed by the Principal. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and experience with chemical safety and floor care procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Work experience as a custodian, familiarity with chemical safety, floor cleaning/care procedures and the use of appropriate machinery
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable
