Job Summary
The 2026-27 Student Support Facilitator role focuses on district-wide program management to identify and monitor at-risk students, evaluation of RTI effectiveness, leading Student Support Team (SST) activities, and providing staff development to teachers. Responsibilities include coordinating interventions, data-informed decision making, conducting SST meetings, developing and monitoring progress toward goals and benchmarks, and ensuring compliance with Special Education and 504 procedures. The role requires collaboration with teachers, parents, administrators, counselors, and community agencies; development and implementation of progress monitoring systems; and leadership in planning and evaluating instructional programs to close achievement gaps. The position also involves budget planning, reporting, and maintaining records, with frequent districtwide travel and substantial time commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/Master’s Degree Preferred
- Five years experience as a classroom teacher
- Some leadership or program director experience preferred
- Ability to organize and coordinate district-wide programs
- Ability to interpret data
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction with emphasis on remedial strategies
- Knowledge of prevention and intervention strategies, including behavior management interventions
- Strong consultation skills for conferencing with teachers, parents, and students
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Understand the characteristics of a wide range of intellectual disabilities as well as disorders such as autism and traumatic brain injury
- Trained in district positive behavioral strategies used to prevent and deescalate behavior systems and reinforcement systems
- Experience with functional behavior assessment/functional behavior analysis
- Ability to use effective instructional strategies and techniques for at risk learners
- Experience in the development of Individual Education Plans related to appropriate goals
- and benchmarks
- Experience in the development and implementation of progress monitoring systems
- Knowledge of Special Education and 504 procedures and law
- Experience: Five years experience as a classroom teacher. Some leadership or program director experience preferred.
