2026-27 SPED Instructional Assistant/Special Needs- Paradise Valley HS

SPED Instructional Assistant at Paradise Valley High School supports the instructional program by assisting in supervision, care and instruction of special needs students in regular and/or self-contained classrooms, implementing IEP objectives, monitoring behavior, and providing information to school personnel. Responsibilities include adapting activities under teacher direction, administering tests, assisting medically fragile or developmentally delayed students with personal hygiene and healthcare needs, executing behavioral plans, documenting materials and records, modeling appropriate social behavior, ensuring safety, responding to emergencies, and performing related clerical tasks to support the instructional program. Requires HS diploma or GED; CPR and First Aid certificates; maintains confidentiality and collaborates with teachers, support personnel, and parents. The role is 9 months, 6.5 hours/day, with benefits including ASRS and medical/dental/vision options.
