2026-27 Special Education Paraprofessional - Tier 4, Oakwood Manor Elementary School

Paraprofessional - Special Education Tier 4 assists in supervision, care, and instruction of students with special needs in regular or self-contained classrooms; administers medical assistance per health-care professional instruction (e.g., toileting, diapering, feeding, colostomy bags, medication, diabetic management); relieves teachers of clerical tasks; models skills to perform assignments; implements instructional plans; monitors behavior in various settings; participates in meetings; may join crisis response activities; provides instruction under teacher supervision for individual and group activities (e.g., academic subjects, social skills, daily living skills, assistive technology) to reinforce objectives and ensure student success; maintains materials and records; promotes safe, positive learning environments; responds to emergencies and inquiries; serves as substitute for defined course of study when needed; performs related duties. Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred Missouri Teaching Certificate; 60 college hours; equivalency options including college hours, substitute training, or Paraprofessional test. Certifications: Medication Administration trained, CPR/First Aid, MANDT, Substitute Certificate. Experience: basic knowledge of instructional procedures, safety, confidentiality; ability to work with diverse groups; strong teamwork and crisis-response readiness. FLSA: Non Exempt.
