Job Summary
Paraprofessional - Special Education Tier 3 at Staley High School assists in supervision, basic health care, and instruction for special needs students in regular or self-contained classrooms; supports teachers by implementing instructional plans, administering immediate health care as instructed, testing and homework support, monitoring behavior, and performing routine clerical duties; works with students to reinforce goals, prepare research-based lessons, and provide information to school personnel. Responsibilities include adapting activities, administering first aid/medical assistance, assisting with IEP objectives, maintaining materials and records, supervising students in various settings, and collaborating in meetings and staff development; requires knowledge of instructional procedures, safety practices, and ability to work with diverse populations, with licensing/certifications as listed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Sixty college hours
- Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate
- Paraprofessional test in the State of Missouri or Missouri 20-hour Online Substitute Training Program
- Medication Administration trained as needed
- CPR/First Aid Certificate
- MANDT trained as needed
- Substitute Certificate
- Criminal Background Clearance
